Finally some news from the Toronto front after the very successful Christopher Norton Master Class Event on a very snowy Saturday March 8. Roughly, 80 students were registered to perform in the master classes, some with backing tracks and some with Chris accompanying them on the Roland Keyboard. A total of 29 students returned to perform in the evening Gala Concert which included Christopher Norton playing from his various books & performing some of his new works.
Thank-you to Music for Young Children for making these Master Class events possible, and Christopher Norton for being such an excellent, patient, and above all humorous teacher that day. A special thank you to all those who braved the weather on that Saturday, and for the hard work form the students to prepare for the Master Classes. Certainly, the preparedness of the students contributed greatly to the success of the event. Given the very positive reactions from everyone who participated, there are good hopes that another Norton Master Class Event shall be organized for next year.
